We will explore different aspects of lifestyle that can impact our overall health through daily workshops like relationship, career, spirituality, stress, anxiety, sleep, eating healthy, and physical activity.
We will discuss the importance of nutrition in our body. How food can heal your body naturally. What are the good nutrients and minerals we need to be healthy, what is working for you and not for others, how we are all individual in our needs. Charlotte
I’m Charlotte. I was born in France and Hawaii is having a very special place in my heart for my own Health and Wellbeing Transformation. I am a certified 200hr Teacher Training in Vinyasa and Ashtanga in Costa Rica with Sampoorna School. I also got very interested in nutrition and how it heals the body. Really want to share my experience about how to balance food but also life factors such as relationship, career, physical activity or spirituality to find an overall health. Naturally I enrolled and got graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition and now coach people on their own transformation.
Sally
Sally, E-RYT, is known for her infectious energy and a smile that lights up a room. As her wanderlust led her all over the world, her experiences led her to a deep belief and dedication in sharing the gift of yoga. She believes that yoga has and will continue to make the world a better place by bringing about consciousness and awareness on how we are all connected. Sally loves not only guiding students through their practice, but also sharing her passion of yoga and life with them on and off the mat. Sally’s yoga journey started as a teen and has been the root of her adventurous life travels.
Melinda
Melinda Quesenberry is a yoga instructor, meditation guide, sound healer, and reiki master practitioner. Her education and expertise expand into the areas of mindfulness, positive psychology, human behavior, happiness, and the law of attraction. She holds a master’s degree in Psychology and a 500-hour certification in yoga. Having suffered from deep depression and anxiety in her early 30’s, Melinda experienced a profound inner transformation which led her to years of self-study, integration, and greater transformation.
Danii
Prior to moving to Maui, Danii was living in Costa Rica, where she discovered yoga and instantly fell in love with the practice. This began her journey of self discovery, and yoga felt like coming home to the truest part of herself! For Danii “Yoga is more than a physical practice, but a lifestyle that encourages loving kindness towards all beings and that allows us to become our brightest most authentic selves”. Danii is passionate about creating space for her students to discover higher self awareness, experience deep healing, and feel the strong connection we have to our heart, to each other, and to the Earth.
About Hale Akua Retreat Center
Hale Akua (“Home of the Divine” in the native Hawaiian language) is an exclusive, intimate, and secluded jungle garden retreat offering wonderful healing retreats in a spectacular natural setting. Deep thought and consideration was given to the placement and location of every structure at Hale Akua, so as to remain “at-one” with the ’Aina (or Spirit in Hawaiian) of the land, the jungle, and the ocean, with minimal environmental impact and utilize renewal.
Hale Akua is a magical and idyllic place created and designed to provide a natural and supportive environment for groups, couples and individuals to relax, renew, and restore well-being.
They are known for, and pride themselves on, doing everything possible to make the group leader’s work effective and the guest’s stay magical.
Their team members are trained in Nonviolent Communication (NVC), also known as Compassionate Communication. One of the many ways we aim to strengthen our own team morale, and to hear and address guest’s needs more effectively.
Their facility is bathed in ocean trade winds and negative ions from the 150 foot waterfall just below us.Since they are situated in the lush tropical rainforest they have the perfect location for growing organic vegetables and fruits, alongside with providing a healing environment to Eco-Retreat guests or to anyone else who visits them!
“The most important attribute to look for in a yoga teacher is joy because yoga is about remembering your true Divine nature, which is comprised of mostly bliss. Charlotte is an authentic yoga teacher who is dedicated to her students’ progress towards the joyful discovery of yoga. Her non-judgmental manner, humility and unwavering devotion to the Divine creates in the classroom, a positive, compelling atmosphere, conducive to happiness and spiritual blossoming.”
